It’s Saturday, the 26th of April. On a warm Saturday evening in the heart of Athens, friends of language, literature, and community gathered at the charming Lemoní Bookstore in Thissio. Slowly but surely, the bookstore filled with smiling faces, as guests arrived and enjoyed a welcoming atmosphere with wine and homemade treats.

The evening officially began with a heartfelt introduction from our friends at Easy Greek, who warmly welcomed everyone and set the tone for what would become a truly special event.

Following their beautiful prologue, Konstantinos took the stage to present the mission and vision behind Glossonauts, sharing the passion and dedication that drives our work in bringing people closer to the Greek language and culture.

A particularly touching moment came when two of our students, Jeff and Claudia, each read a chapter from the inspiring book “Ξεκόλλα απ’ τη Σχεδία” (“Get Unstuck from the Raft”). Hearing their voices, filled with emotion and pride, reminded us of the true meaning behind what we do: empowering people through language and connection.

The evening continued with the main author of the book, Dimitris, who captivated the audience with a creative and lively presentation. His work offers life coaching lessons inspired by Homer’s Odyssey, blending ancient wisdom with modern insights for personal growth and resilience.

Finally, the event was brought to a powerful close by Evangelos Gazis, Professor of Particle Physics and National Technology Transfer Representative for CERN in Greece. His presence and words added a profound sense of inspiration, reminding us of the bridges between science, literature, and human potential.

It was truly a night to remember — filled with laughter, inspiration, new friendships, and a shared love for learning and growth.Everyone left the bookstore with beautiful Glossonaut gifts and beautiful memories!
We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us, and we can’t wait to see you again at our next adventure!
